Good afternoon to anyone who is taking the time to read this. My name is Chessia Cox, and I am an attorney currently located in Athens, Tennessee.
I am making use of this blog so that you may get a chance to learn something about me, as well as get some insight into the legal system. I will not, under any circumstance, be giving out legal advice on this blog. The main reason for that is that every case is different, and what may be good advice in one case may not necessarily be good advice for another case. Another reason is that the internet, like all electronic media, is not secure, and I cannot guarantee that your information will be kept confidential.
If you do seek legal advice about your own case, you are welcomed to schedule a visit to my office. The consultations are free!
Having said that, I will be sharing my thoughts on this blog as a means for you, the public, to get a chance to learn more about me and may get some general information that could assist you if you ever find yourself involved in the court system.
Whenever I meet clients who are in court for the first time, they are often confused and sometimes even scared. And that is completely normal! Now, some people may find that hilarious, but it is certainly not funny to anyone who has ever had to go through it. In many ways, my clients often feel like the poor cat in the picture I found on the internet (See below).
So, if you find yourself in court, be aware that any nervousness on your part is completely understandable. As an attorney, I can honestly say that I am more worried about clients who profess to having no fear about courts than those who will admit to it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I will post more entries as soon as possible.
